DCP Mastering

We provide all the services related to DCP mastering and can deliver to your door step a final copy ready that can be ingested in movie theaters anywhere in the world.

Our workflow is based on DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) specifications which forms the basis of Digital Cinema equipment used all over the world. Subsequent to DCP mastering, we also provide the KDMs (Key Delivery Message) allowing the movie to play anywhere in the world, for a specific server and for a specific time period, determined by the movie distributor or producer.

Film Subtitling

Most of the movies playing in Lebanon and in the Middle East are normally translated into Arabic for local movie goers.

We provide translation and subtitling services for movies shown in theaters locally and in the Gulf region. Our team of translators is experienced in working with foreign movies and we have a reliable record of translating movies correctly and being faithful to the original script. We have an exhaustive workflow for checking the quality of the translation which is in line with our commitment to excellence.

Film Scanning

We provide scanning services for 8 mm, 16 mm and 35 mm film.

Our expertise with film, spanning three generations over a period of seventy years has enabled us to scan old movies with great accuracy and fidelity to the original film. Our high definition scanners can provide an excellent image quality in HD format or 4K format at high bit rates. We can subsequently, process the film digitally to remove any dirt, grain and can sharpen the image. We can also color grade it since film tends to lose color and contrast over the years due to the “vinegar effect”. The final result is of such high quality that it can be shown in movie theaters.

Film Archiving

We provide film archiving services whereby your movie can be stored for a long time period after it has been scanned.

Our archiving services can preserve your movie for a period of 30 years. Based on the latest archiving technologies, your movie can be stored safely and retrieved at any point in time should there be a need for it. Both image and audio are archived in a format that can be safely retrieved after many years. Archiving can be applied to all types of film be it 8 mm, 16 mm or 35 mm film.

Sound Stage

To produce your TV show or series, you need a shooting stage that provides you with all the facilities to get your work done. Our shooting stage has been used for movies, TV shows, TV series, Commercials or any media production.

The sound stage at Haroun Studios is a 3,500 square feet of phenomenal open space, fabulous features, and ancient history. The sound stage plays a proud part in the history of this country where artists and visionaries for the past three generations have created and captured the vision and stories of our time. We provide a space for all your production needs be it TV shows, series, commercials or feature films. Our stage reflects the character of its cinematic past but still accommodates today’s ever-evolving technologies and trends such as green screen productions and others. We have all the amenities and specs needed for a successful shoot, live stream, or interactive installation.

Film Restoration

We provide film restoration services to clean an revamp the old images and bring back to life the contours and details of the original image.

Our team of experienced restoration artists are able to remove all types of defects ranging from dust, grain, dirt and scratches to stabilization, warping, flicker and color breathing. In addition, we provide expert color correction, editing, and mastering tools for HD, MP4, Prores as well as DCPs. Restoration can be applied to all types of film be it 8 mm, 16 mm or 35 mm film.
